FAQ- Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
We do not accept insurance, as personal training is typically not covered by most medical plans due to its classification as non-medically necessary. However, we encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly, as there may be specific situations in which reimbursement is possible.
Can I still work with you if I need to be on a special diet, have fluid restrictions, or take certain medications that affect my exercise capacity?
Yes! As long as you have been cleared by your doctor to begin a new exercise program, we are happy to work with their recommendations to deliver an appropriate program for you.
What does a typical session look like?
Cardio/warm-up and update from last session
Core activation and balance work
Skill development and/or functional movements
Strength training
Cool down/stretching and plan for next session
*Keep in mind each exercise plan will vary significantly from person to person as they are customized to your strengths, weaknesses, and goals.
How do I schedule? How do I reschedule?
Feel free to call us, email us, or submit an inquiry on our website. If you’re an existing client, you can call, text or email your trainer directly if you need to schedule or reschedule.
What happens if I have a vacation or doctor's appointment during one of our scheduled times?
Give your trainer a call or text as soon as you’re able so we can fit you into an alternative time.
What should I do if I feel fatigued or sore after a session?
Write it down so the trainer knows for the next session. It’s not uncommon when starting a new program to experience some level of soreness, but significant fatigue or pain are different.
Keep hydrated, get plenty of rest, and continue to eat nutritiously (protein!). It’s best to keep moving gently such as walking and stretching instead of stopping moving entirely. We will be sure to address and adjust next session.
What should I do if one of the movements causes me pain?
Let your trainer know right away or if you’re in between sessions, write it down and stop that movement until we see you next. We will adjust and reassess at our next visit.
Can I refer my friends or family?
We would love that! The best compliment to our service is the referral of a family member or friend. If you refer someone, we want to say “Thank You” by giving you both a free session!
What if I know someone who is interested, but not yet sure if they want to commit?
Occasionally we will run “Bring a Buddy” promotions that will let you bring a friend to one of your sessions for free. They can see what you’ve been working on and decide if it’s a good fit for them. If so, see above for our referral program incentives!
A Note from Longevity at Home:
Something we want you to know is…we’re so proud of you!
For taking the necessary steps to combat the progression of aging. Most of the typical signs and symptoms of aging are actually not due to aging at all, but due to inactivity. By taking charge of your health and putting in the work now, you’re doing yourself (and your loved ones) a huge favor.
We like to say, “Health is wealth, spend it on what matters most!”
